Our client, a leading telecoms reseller, is seeking Business Development Managers across the UK for their ever expanding team. Working within the sales team, you will be primarily responsible for delivering new revenue (sales margin) through the acquisition of new named clients. There may also be a number of named and prospective clients who have been identified as a key customer targets to develop.
Our client aims to develop its brand and presence in the sector through the sale of the entirety of its solutions, which maximise a diverse and unique product portfolio. This includes:
• Technology: IP telephony and convergence, hardware.
• Infrastructure: Network services (Voice, Lan, Wan) hosted telephony, mobility.
• Professional Services: Maintenance, auditing, technology roadmap, people skills.
They have also developed a unique managed services capability and price per seat solution – the ability to sell in this field is important.
Reporting to a Sales Manager, you will also be supported by desk based sales administration, Pre-Sales, Bid Managers and Technical Consultants.
Essential Skills and Qualities
1. Proven ability in achieving and overachieving against an incremental sales margin target.
2. New business acquisition and the ability to onward manage and develop such clients.
3. Opportunity and pipeline development across all portfolio components.
4. Accurate weekly forecasting on the status and closure of pipeline opportunities.
5. Development of customer account and business plans to demonstrate a clear understanding of the business drivers and competitive landscape.
6. You will be responsible for improving customer satisfaction and demonstrating a clear understanding of the challenges faced within accounts.
7. You will be responsible for keeping your customers fully abreast of all our client capability and advising them of new and updated solutions.
8. Creativity, adaptability and commitment are critical along with the will to succeed in a dynamic environment.
