Aastra has unwrapped the new 7.6 software release for its IntelliGate systems, introducing an improved FMC solution. Three new terminals also extend Aastra’s range of office telephones.
A key feature of the new 7.6 release is the improved integration of mobile phones into the company’s own IntelliGate comms systems. Without any software installation on mobile phones, remote workers can use the same popular communications features of their desk phones while on the move (such as call transfer, brokering, conference and call back).
On top of these productivity enhancing features, the improved mobile integration enables potential cost savings through the internal processing of calls. And mobile phones with a SIP client enable SMEs to use these mobile phones as SIP extensions within the office WiFi network. Thomas Stephan, European PLM Manager for SME Systems at Aastra, said: “Now, more than ever before, SMEs demand communication tools that are as efficient as the solutions available to larger companies. The new i7.6 and Office Suite software addresses this demand.”

'There's no getting away from the fact that for more and more business users their mobile device has become the comms tool of choice.'
