Manchester-based BCH Digital's Managing Director, Andrea Wilson-Brown, has accepted the invitation to act as Ambassador for local charity Forever Manchester which raises money locally and invests in grants to support the 200,000 people in Greater Manchester who are living in disadvantaged circumstances.
Previous schemes and organisations supported by Forever Manchester include The Caribbean Elders lunch club, Funky Fridays teenage parent support group and the Abram Moss Warriors football club.
A Greater Manchester woman herself, Wilson-Brown will support Forever Manchester with its public message and campaigns. Using her business and industry knowledge she will also help to identify opportunities for the charity in terms of maximising technological and business advantage. Wilson-Brown also hopes to provide inspiration for the youth of Greater Manchester.
She said: "Forever Manchester does great work for communities from all over the Greater Manchester area, supporting the people that actually get out there and help their local neighbourhood - such as the Special Olympics in Bury or Urban Ride in Trafford. I had no hesitation on accepting the role of Ambassador. I'm very proud to do so and see it as an honour."
Nick Massey, Chief Executive of Forever Manchester, added: "Forever Manchester is all about people who love Manchester and want to put something back, and as an ambassador Andrea will certainly be able to do that."
'There's no getting away from the fact that for more and more business users their mobile device has become the comms tool of choice.'
