Outsourcery is launching three new hosted products - Dedicated Windows Server 2008, Dedicated SharePoint Server and StoreSafe - offering channel partners the opportunity to earn rates of up to 30% commission while moving to a Cloud-based model. Outsourcery will host the services and handle all billing on behalf of partners.
New figures reveal revenue in the worldwide server market increased by 11 per cent in the first half of 2010, suggesting that more and more business are using online back-up services. The International Data Corporation (IDC) also confirmed in a survey that revenues increased to £7.1 billion in the second quarter of 2010, displaying the fastest quarterly revenue growth since 2003.
As well as using online backup to save money, businesses are buying new servers to replace old ones, according to Jean S Bozman, research vice president of enterprise services at IDC. A Symantec survey last month revealed that 62 per cent of small and medium-sized businesses cited data loss as a key concern. In addition, 73 per cent of those questioned considered installing backup as 'somewhat important' or 'absolutely important'.
Adam Cathcart, Head of Partner Management at Outsourcery, said: "There's a real appetite for these products in the market if the recent statistics are anything to go by. These new products provide our partners with a fantastic opportunity to earn generous commission rates and offer their customers solutions that can really change the way they work for good."
Dedicated Windows Server 2008 enables users to save money by consolidating existing servers with a single, virtualised, dedicated server. Dedicated SharePoint Server provides all the benefits of Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) on the customers own server but with additional features and choices. Using StoreSafe customers' business information is held at Outsourcery's secure state-of-the-art data centre.
'There's no getting away from the fact that for more and more business users their mobile device has become the comms tool of choice.'
