Distributor VCOMM (UK) has signed a master UK distribution agreement with Extricom, the designer and manufacturer of a wireless LAN (WLAN) system, to distribute its next generation of wireless switches.
Extricom's wireless switches are aimed at solution providers and system integrators servicing WiFi requirements for wide area wireless networks such as school and university campuses, exhibition centres and corporate businesses. They are also suitable for VoIP applications.
Taffy Johal, VComm Sales Director, said: "One of the things that has been holding back widespread adoption of VoWLAN solutions is the lack of reliable, resilient wireless infrastructure that will support any mobility requirement.
Extricom's switches will help our channel partners to develop WiFi networks for their clients to not only connect notebooks but also products such as the iPhone."
'There's no getting away from the fact that for more and more business users their mobile device has become the comms tool of choice.'
